KASP has established a program to provide for
action research support. Action research consists of projects or ideas
that grow from a school psychologist’s desire to know if a new
intervention or new strategy is working and is effective in helping
students. Like all other KASP awards, it is only available to active
members.
The purpose of the action research program is to
encourage and support innovative practices in school psychology, e.g.,
new models of assessment or alternative service delivery models. This
program will only fund innovative projects; therefore, we cannot fund
expansion of existing programs, programs that are the responsibility of a
school district, those that have been previously funded by the
district, or trips.
