On December 10, 2015 President Obama signed into law the Every Student
Succeeds Act (ESSA), which reauthorizes the Elementary and Secondary
Education Act of 1965 (ESEA). This latest update revises provisions in
the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, and includes many reforms that
return returns flexibility to the state while maintaining accountability
for the success of all children.
