The purpose of the KASP Diversity Graduate Student Scholarship is to support the graduate training of promising school psychology
students in the state of Kansas.
Two students will be awarded $1000 per year each fall. Students are eligible to
reapply for a second year of funding.
Application Deadline:
Applications are due by September 15th of each year. Notification of awards will be made by Fall Convention.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must meet the
following conditions:
- Be a full-time or part-time student from a diverse background
- Be a potential student,
enrolled in, or accepted into, a graduate program in School Psychology in Kansas
- If enrolled in a program,
be in good academic standing
- Be a member of KASP, or
become a member of KASP at the time
of submission of the application
Selection Criteria:
Scholarship winners will be selected be a committee of KASP
board members. Selection criteria used by the committee may include previous
academic performance, financial need, potential for a career in school
psychology, and quality of the application essay.
